Noah Is Home..
.. I picked up Noah at suppertime.. he was very glad to see me and let me know it with his vocalizing.. he looked real tired and of course the eye with the surgery was messy with dry blood.. but that will come off.. While I waited for the final tally of the bill as with the extra hour of surgery and two days post-op there it ended up being $1400.17 .. He has no teeth left .. they had them in a huge pill bottle for me to see.. They will have them on exhibit at their Open House in two weeks.. to show what happens when teeth are not looked after.. then they will give them to me.. I was shocked to see them all.. In any case I brought Noah home here.. fed him soft canned food with an antibiotic mixed in .. he was very hungry and ate it up no problem.. Now he is sleeping.. and I feel glad to be back.. my gang welcomed him with licks..

Noah The Neglected Basset
.. I picked up Noah on friday afternoon.. he looked thin and unkempt . his toe nails were long and curled under.. his hair greasy.. his ears filthy.. then his eye was watery.. lastly his breath was awful.. So I brought him home with me.. let him settle saturday and made him an vet appointment for today sunday the 22nd.
Well the vet called me in with Noah.. one look and she said oh my god.. she first called in a technician to cut these long curled nails.. he wasn't cooperating.. a muzzle was called for.. it took a fair amount of time he was sweating trying to hold him as he struggled with each toe.. then the vet came in.. She began her exam.. while listening to his heart I could see tears dripping from her nose.. she hasn't seen allot of neglect she said and just hates it.. We talked while she blew her nose.. then she asked can you fix him.. he needs extensive dentistry and that cyst off his eye or it will keep watering.. I said I'll do what needs doing to give him quality of life.. Okay well he will loose at least 90% of his teeth if not all.. that will mean soft food and antibiotics with follow-up.. fine okay I'll figure a price.. it will be about $993.17.. So I scheduled him for tuesday as she also said that the infection in his gums was slowly poisoning him.. Now I just need to come up with the money .. So if anyone out there can help..
